MKII in All Black

Today’s feature comes from the beautiful Hawaiian islands! Some of you might recognize this gem by it’s badass blackout theme and aggressive stance.

This clean 1985 Celica Supra is owned by Micheal Lee. Micheal got into cars back in his high school days. Even then he owned a Mk2 Supra which sold once he graduated.

Fast forward to 2 years ago, while looking through Craigslist Micheal came across a listing for his current Supra. Since ownership he has made many changes but made sure to do some of the more minor yet necessary upgrades such as a K&N air filter, NGK spark plugs/wires, and more modern LED headlights. If you open the hood though you’ll see some other tasteful upgrades such as a Cusco strut bar and custom cooling plate.

Exterior wise you’ll immediately notice the Celica has a nice clean finish from being repainted black in 2022. You can find photos below of the painting in progress. Aftermarket add-ons include louvers from SFX performance, tinted window visors, and the tailights as well as the turn signals have been smoked to complete the look.

The car sits on 15x9 Vors wheels paired to 205/50/R15 R888 tires while a set of BC coilovers help to bring the Celica through corners.

Micheal made sure to also bring attention to the interior and old stereo system by swapping out for reupholstered leather seats and upgrading to an Alpine deck with a 12 inch subwoofer.

Future plans for the Celica include installing a set of Watanabe wheels, carbon fiber hood, full body kit, and to swap out the old 5M for a 2JZGTE. So be sure to give Micheal a follow if you’d like to keep up with the build as it progresses.

Thanks again for letting me put this together! -Soloman
